The Gulf States Regional Center for
Public Safety Innovations, along with the national network of RCPIs, the
International Association of Chiefs of Police and the Law
Enforcement Mobile Video Institute is proud to have offered the Mobile Video In-Car
Camera Training. This training was
sponsored by the United States Department of Justice (USDOJ) Office of Community
Oriented Policing Services (COPS) through the Grants Administration Division.
The National In-Car Camera Training project started with the pilot course in
Hammond, LA in July 2004 and is nearing completion at this time. This
training program was presented in over 30 cities around the United States and
has provided free mobile video training for thousands of law enforcement
officers and executives. Although this program is nearly over, there are
still training opportunities available. Please check under Locations for
current courses.
